NAME

LAYER - Set the default layer number

SYNOPSIS

LAYER [<layer_number>] <EOC>

DESCRIPTION

Change the default layer. The default layer is zero when the editor is started, but can be changed with the LAYER command and will be used for any ADD command that does explicitly specify a layer.

For example, if the default layer is set to 3 with the command
     >LAYER 3;

then performing
     >ADD C 0,0 0,10;

will add a circle on layer 3.
