     Mark,
      I have found that ants present problems here in the US. Ants wilol
     bring in aphids only to destroy your pitchers. Be careful with ants
     and my advice is to destroy the colony as soon as you can.

Is there any chance the ants
could introduce unwanted pests or diseases ? Should I watch nature
take its course or use chemical warfare on the ants ?
