Joseph Kinyon asked:

'How often does Darlingtonia grow with Bog Asphodel (Narthecium sp.)...
Does it favor the same conditions and is it an indicator for adequate
carnivorous plant habitat?'

>From my limited reading, Bog Asphodel is a common plant on peat bogs
throughout the UK (and presumably, from your email, the US as well). It
often grows close to or with various species of sundew, like D.anglica
and D.intermedia. So, presumably, if you see Bog Asphodel, you are near
a peat bog, and will probably find CPs as well.

Hope this helps,
Elliot
