Hi Steve,

        My N.alata 'Boschiana mimic' regularly produces pitchers over 6
inches in length. The grower I obtained this plant from has had
pitchers over 12 inches (correct me if I'm wrong!), so it is quite
possible and seems normal. However, N.alata is an extremely variable
plant, so it may be that the other clones you're familiar with are
smaller pitchered varieties.
