Dear Chris,

Do you mean _Aesculus_?

> to that of nepenthes. they are almost identical.

The only similarity I can discover is the obvious fact that they are
both flowers. They are in no way "identical" (if you are in doubt,
send me a specimen and I will tell you what you have). On which
observation do you base your statement?

> has anyone else noticed this?

I don't think so. Why should anyone have if there is nothing to
notice?

Kind regards
Jan

PS: Not a good PR gag, rather waste of bandwidth.
