For those of you who may from time to time encounter information or
webpages that may be of interest to you but they are in a language
other than your own, there is a website by Alta Vista where, you
either enter the URL of the page you wish to view or copy and paste
text and it does a servicable job of translating it for you. It covers
a range of different languages and while the results are not perfect,
they are certainly good enough to help you understand the bulk of the
information.
