Subject: South African Seed Source

Steve wrote in CP digest 1469:

At present, I'm rather more of an "armchair" CP gardener as despite many
attempts, I have been unable to find a source of CP seeds in South Africa.
And the only plants available locally, and which I have, are flytraps and D.
capensis. Rather a boring collection, even I must concede.

Steve,

Try this place:

Silverhill Seeds PO Box 53108, Kenilworth, 7745 Cape Town, South Africa

Phone# (021)762-4245 Fax# (021)797-6609

Silverhill has several native and non-native CP species. Among the native-
D. cistiflora, D. hilaris. Some non-native species- D. rotundifolia, D.
anglica, Sarracenias.

Call or write them and request a catalog. I ordered from them last month.
Their turn-around time is excellent and the seed packs were of a very
generous size!
