Orthene works quite well. You may also want to try Systemic Houseplant
Insecticide, sold at most garden centers. You sprinkle the granules on
the soil and water the plant. The insecticide is adsorbed by the roots
and goes throughout the plant. Any insect that eats the plant, or sucks
the fluids, dies.
