Subject: D. ARCTURI & STENO

Growing instructions for these two Drosera are as follows...

D. arcturi:

Easy to grow from seed using standard stratification methods.
Compost - equal parts chopped spag / peat / sand
Keep it sopping wet all year - may benefit from constantly seeping water ie.
under a dripping tap.
Light - 14+ hrs in summer, <10 hrs in winter (covered by snow in winter). 5
month growing period.
Temps - (During growing period) Day: 15-20C Night: <5-10C

D. stenopetala:

As for D. arcturi but seed is difficult to germinate ( I have not been able
to germinate it here in Auckland.) Maybe it needs to be snap frozen first?

Both species can't be grown in Auckland for more than about 3 years. They
gradually get smaller and die. Temps here are Summer: 25C+Day - 18C at
night. Winter: 15C Day - 6C with the odd frost overnight.

I hope this info is helpful

Good growing
