Subject: S. psittacina form

A while ago, about a month, I went on a week vacation and reluctantly
left my small but growing CP collection unattended. When I came home,
everything was in perfect health, but one thing puzzled me. My S. psittacina
which was green when I left it, now took a semi-deep red coloration. At
first I thought that it was dying, because I was unaware that there was a red
form of S. psittacina? Well, at least I think there is now... 'cause it's
still alive, just red, and sending out 3 new pitchers currently. The plant,
along with several others were recieved bare-rooted about a week or so before
I left on vacation from Lee's. Why wasn't the plant red when I recieved it?
Could a couple days in a box without any light change it green so fast? I
just have been really curious ever since it happened, and finally got around
to inquiring about it. Thanks,

Ryan
