 David,
I also heard that you could use condoms on your CP flower spikes and last year
I tried them with mixed results. It wasn't that the condoms don't work well. The
problem I was encountering was trying to get them to fit properly over the
flower spikes. I went around, my town, purchasing every name brand condom that I
could find. None of them seem to work either, so I finally had to get our local
druggist to ,Special Order, some from a company in California. This took about
three weeks and when they finally came in, the darn things were colored bright
orange. I said to myself, "Oh what the heck, I'll use them anyways". I took
the condoms out back where my bog is located and capped about 40 flower spikes
with these orange wonders. Boy what a sight!. As darkness approached, I started
noticing something really strange coming from my bog. All my flower spikes were
glowing. Not only were the condoms colored a bright orange, they glowed in the
dark as well. Will, about eleven o'clock that night "you guessed it" the
neighborhood started complaining. Apparently, these glowing monsters were
illuminating the neighborhood up so much that no one could sleep. After settling
down most of the neighbors, I finally got a chance to pick up an empty condom
packages from the trash. I wanted to see if I could find out anything from
reading the package. After reading for about second, it quickly become apparent
what was going on. The condoms had to be colored orange and glow in the dark,
for the package was marked "Extra Small".
Have a nice day
