Subject: Introduction

Hi,

Just subscribed to this group after looking for a Usenet group on CP's
and failing to find one... Anyone considered setting up an Alt group
or is there already a group that I am missing?

Anyhow, I am a member of the Carnivorous Plant Society and have been
growing CP's on a purely small-scale amateur basis for about 10 years
mainly concentrating on Sarracenia and Darlingtonia but also a few
others including Cephalotus.

I live in Worcester, England and work as an Analyst/Programmer for a
Software House developing financial systems in PowerBuilder so I guess
that the CP hobby is a bit of a release valve for me... :)

At the moment I have surplus Darlingtonia that I am trying to get rid
of to make space in the greenhouse so if anyone in the UK is
interested please let me know! The plants in question range from 3-10
inches in height and are very healthy growing in pure sphagnum moss.
If anyone knows 'Marston Exotics' in England I sold about 10 plants to
Paul Gardner about 2 years ago for him to use as stock plants as it
seems he was having problems cultivating them!

Enough for now, I hope to speak to some of you soon regarding CP's!

Regards,
  Andrew
