Hey guys, Danny in Ft. Worth here. (Slow to read my e-mail and
respond.)
Okay...to the subject matter....

Stores in Texas.....I've bought CPs here in the Dallas/Ft Worth area at
Wolf Nurseries and Calloway Nurseries (VFTs, Cape Sundew, and Purple
pitchers).
I've found some at non-chain nurseries in Ft Worth on occasion.

CPs in Texas.....

The Alatas, drosera, and Pings can all be found in the Big Thicket, a
National park in south east Tx. It's just north of Beaumont on hwy 69.
In fact, you'll find "Sundew Trail" and "Pitcher Plant Trail" just off
hwy 69. For a selection of photos I took in June (in the Big Thicket),
see my homepage at: http://rampages.onramp.net/~dannyh and go to the Big
Thicket section.

I drove all over the SE area of Texas, hoping to spot the Alatas, but
found them only in the Big Thicket.

Closer to Dallas/Ft Worth, an hour trip south on I-45 will get you into
Alata territory. Near the Flynn Bogs, there is a small town called
Hilltop Lakes
(on hwy 3). I've been told you can find Alatas there.....seen from the
road. (I've yet to go down and verify, though).

In general, I've read and heard that Robertson and Leon counties both
have sites of Alatas.

Good luck in your journies, and let us know if you find anything!

Danny
