I grow a lot of these plants and I find that they have a mind of
there own sometimes. I grow most all of them in a 30L aquarium in
the winter months and during spring and summer, I take them outside
and allow mother nature to do the rest. Sometimes in the summer
months I will see growth on several plants while other plants will
just sit there and produce a leaf now and then. I have seen some
plants, for no apparent reason, drop all there traps and leaves,
only to re-leaf several months later. As far as a dormancy goes, I
don't really think they have one, but they do seem to go through
some type of rest period for a few months.

Hi everyone.

Does Cephalotus have a dormancy reuiresdfs requirement? Does
it go dormant in the wild?

Mine seems to be losing its vigor after a year growing in a
terrarium under lights. I know in CARNIVOROUS PLANTS OF THE
WORLD it is claimed no dormany is required. I'm wondering
what others think to this.

thanks a lolt for your advice
