disappearing species

I too am saddened when I think of some of the plants and wildlife that I
played with as a child, that now have disappeared. Some may not be
endangered, but they aren't found easily in the city due to efficient "lawn
care". Some are endangered - I was really shocked to read in "Texas
Highways" (a travel magazine) that the "horned frog" has practically
disappeared and it's illegal to even touch one. I played with them every
summer on the Gulf coast, and now they're practically a museum display.

I have to sign off for a month for vacation. I'll be in Texas, but probably
won't be searching for CPs, but rather barbecue.
