I've mentioned before on the list that sadly, _Cephalotus_ is now quite rare
in the wild due to a combination of agricultural practices and
over-collecting. It is on the endangered species list.

There are sites left, but locations are closely guarded and I'm not privy to
the info. I think your best bet would be to contact Allen Lowrie at 6 Glenn
Place, Duncraig WA 6023, Australia (Ph 619 447 7426) prior to making your
trip. (I'm sure he won't mind me giving out his name, address & phone
number on the list, as it is on all his price lists. Which you can get by
sending him 3 international reply paid coupons) You will find Allen to be
an interesting and helpful person.

There is no WA branch of the Australian Carnivorous Plant Society. The ACPS
has NO branches because it is the South Australian Carnivorous Plant Society
RENAMED! It now boasts a nation-wide and international membership (including
myself) and can be contacted through the Secretary, Brian Denton, PO Box
391, St. Agnes SA 5097, Australia, Tel/Fax: 618 264 5974 Email:
bdenton@camtech.net.au

There is no CP Society in WA as far as I know. All CP societies in
Australia operate independantly of the ACPS and each other. My local
Society of which I am proud to be Vice President, the Victorian Carnivorous
Plant Society (VCPS) is the second largest in the country.
(For some reason the ACPS attracts more overseas members than we do:-)
The VCPS can be contacted through the Secretary, Gordon Ohlenrott, PO Box
201, South Yarra Vic 3141, Australia, Tel 613 9878 6596 or you can email
me at brislerr@ozemail.com.au
And don't forget our web page on http://www.ocean.com.au/vcps/
Comments and flaming to me please!

There are only three other CP societies in Australia and these are: The
Carnivorous Plant Society of New South Wales
The Carnivorous Plant Society of Far North Queensland
Another Queensland based society whose name escapes me at present.
I would be happy to provide details of these if anyone is interested.
