P. ehlersae vs. P. esseriana

My Pinguicula ehlersae and P. esseriana (Please forgive and correct my
spelling) are blooming, but I started to wonder if some where in the past
the tags had gotten mixed up when I was taking leaf cuttings. Some have
violet flowers, and the others have pinkish-lavender flowers. Could someone
tell me the difference between the two species, so I can verify if I still
have the right tags in the right pots? Or is it possible to promote
different colors in the flowers with different soil mediums, as in P.
agnata?
Puzzled but thankin' y'all in advance,
