Dear Christoph,

>Can anyone tell me what P. mala is?

Sounds like a really bad butterwort. Please tell me when you have
identified a literature reference for the name and communicate it to me.
TNX.

You know what "P.lanii" (I *do* have a lit. ref. and even an illustration
for that one!) is?

Supposedly (the author, A.D.Bell, does most unfortunately not expand on the
etymology of his name; nevertheless a masterpiece!) named after the most
beautiful, clever, and wealthy _Pinguicula_ taxonomist (author of
"Poligrafia del genere Pinguicula", the only legitimate successor of
Casper) and breeder (Pinguicula *bona and perhaps also others?) Belfredo
Lani. ;-)

(NB: the previous paragraph is not entirely meant seriously!)

Kind regards
Jan
