Hi All,

My sites internet connection has been down over the easter
break, so I don't know if you received my mesages. Also,
if you did try to send mail, could you re-send it now.

Also I will be getting two aacounts fairly soon. The new one
will be at my university, but won't be ready for some time.

Anyway, heres the resent mail:

Hi, All

Sorry I haven't been on for ages, I seem to have less and less time
at my computer.

Anyway, I noticed a bad mealy bug infestation on my Sarracenia collection,
and they seem to have knocked off a S.rubra. As you can imagine I'm pretty
keen to do the same to them. I bought an aerosol can of Folimat, which has
an active constituentof 2g/kg of OMETHOATE, which is an anticholineasterase
compound. (I hope I spelled that correctly!!!!).

It says on the back that it controls mealy bugs on ornamentals, but I
was just
wondering if Sarras can tolerate it. Its a systemic insecticide, so it
must be farily potent. Its just about midway through Autumn here
(Fall), so is it safe to spray?

BTW Tom, those VFT's should be on their way soon, as they are getting near
dormancy.

Bye for Now,

Russell Elliott
