Depends rather on what the tap water was like to begin with. Leaving
it to stand would probably allow any chlorine (if added as a
disinfectant) to disperse, but it wouldn't do anything about
alkalinity which is the usual problem. I'd think though that
the plants should be OK for a week whatever sort of water you
give them - just flush them out with the proper stuff afterwards.
