When I was a student at the University of Oregon a tragic epidemic of a
degenerative neural disease in plant pathologists was traced to their
innoculations of Prunus Necrotic Ringspot Virus in the course of thier work.
Its only one example, but viruses should NOT be viewed as host-specific - you
are not immune - take precautions.
