You might want to consider using the buffer solutions that hydroponic
growers use for pH adjustment. This is dilute phosphoric acid, so
besides adjusting the pH it also give the plant a little something it
can use (phosphorus). I use this to adjust the pH of fertilizer that
I use on my orchids. About 10 drops per gal. will lower the pH from
7 to 6. BTW, DONT GUESS when using acid for pH adjustment,
either get a pH meter (mine cost about $100US) or test strips.
