Not really comfortable "news": D.communis var.cubensis is a nomen nudum,
not described properly in the original publication (which I have not yet
seen, however). The only remaining hope is an illustration of sufficient
quality for determination (=*very* unlikely) or a specimen (at MA?). It is
rather probably a species which is widespread on Cuba (like e.g.
_D.capillaris_), and not really _D.communis_.
On the other hand, _D.communis_ does occur in Venezuela (fide MAGUIRE!).
