Rationale for listing all CP suppliers

To add to the debate, I admit that I have made it a de-facto policy to
list *all* suppliers. I'm open to discussion, and am willing to change
this practice if we think it should be changed.

However, I'm deeply hesitant to create a "black-list" of "naughty" growers.

People can change. People can learn. People can move forward if
given a chance.

By continuing to include all growers (for example: Mr. Pietropaolo of
PP Nurseries), I am trying to create an environment where we can
all improve our practices, work together, and (hopefully) exclude no one.

We will do a much better job of educating these suppliers if we
*continue* to support them: giving them lots of business while insisting
on buying *only propagated plants* from them.

If you want to change someone's behavior, you don't kick them out of
the "game" - instead you change the way *you* "play" with them.

PP has been around for a really long time. He was one of the first.
Back when he started, the demand was tiny - and field collection
probably really *did* have a negligible impact.

Times have changed. Let's give PP a chance to change too.

Best regards,
