Help!!!! Pings die after flower

This is a resend because noone was able to help, and the only response was
from someone who had the same problem....

Why is it that everytime I have a Ping flower, the leave tips and then
entire leaves turn brown and die? This starts in a matter of hours once the
bloom begins to die. I have several that have not flowered and continue to
look quite healthy. Should I prevent them from flowering by cutting off the
flower stalk when it makes an appearance? The species is the most common
sold in the U.S.
