I have a colleague who is a true expert in cholchatrene treatment of
orchids. I have several compots of his 4N plants. If no one has ever
attempted colchatrine treatment on cps I might be able to talk him into
trying a few, if someone would come up with some seed to try. We most
probably would strike out: on the other hand, if successfull, we might
have the first of some exceptional cps. I have convinced him to try some
different orchid species, why not a nepenthes or something similar?

For example, he is presently developing 4N redwoods and pines for the
Forestry service. That's pretty far from orchids, too!

It's interesting to contemplate, isn't it: I have 4N paphiopedilums in
compot that I unflasked 3 months ago that are larger than plants 3 or 4
years old. When these children grow up they are going to be HUGE.

I wouldn't object to a nepenthes with a pither the size of a half gallon
milk bottle!

Cheers,
Phil
