I would assume that EtOH is only useful when applied to living organisms
such as bacteria. I don't think that it has much effect upon the
compounds that comprise a virus. Therefor, it's probably wise to just
stay away from using tobacco. I believe someone mentioned that a
synthesized (or purified) form of nicotine was available for commercial
use.
