A dome may help (use a glass jar, bottom of a plastic Coke bottle,
plastic bag) with the extra humidity. You should try to be extra
careful with your watering until the plant comes good (try to keep the
soil moist but not really soggy). If the plant should die off, *don't
discard it* - these plants often die off without reason but will usually
grow back again from the rootstock (if it hasn't rotten away).
