Ah yes. I have three species myself, including the mighty and mighty
smelly _Stapelia gigantea_ which makes flowers about 16" across, and
which on a warm moist day (rare but occasional in Arizona) are
incredible. I have heard they contain the delightful chemical
cadaverine, which must have an interesting extraction history in
chemical annals that I don't want to know about.
