Hmm. Things are quiet around here.

>marginated?

Doug: _N.albo-marginata_ has a white line encircling the pitcher opening,
just along and under the peristome. Thus the name albo (white) marginata
(margined). My plant is finally producing this characteristic pattern.

You can kick me whenever me meet! :)

There's a great picture of this species on a recent cover of the
Aust. CP society.

Don Burden recently lent me his copy of the _Nepenthes_ issue of Nature
Malaysiana. It has some fantastic photos---enough to interest even me
in Nepenthes. For example, did you know that most specimens of
_N.reinwardtiana_ produce a pair of green dots on the inside surface
of the pitcher, just under the point where the lid attaches? They're
referred to as "eyes". Of course, now I'm thinking about a cross of
this species with _N.bicalcarata_! The magazine verified what I'd
read in Lloyd (I think) and heard from Leo Song---that is _N.bicalcarata_
produces a tendril inflated near the pitcher to house ant colonies.
Interesting genus.
