To address the immediate problem, I would suggest putting up a net over
your bog, with holes small enough that grasshoppers cannot get through,
and consider the 'DeBug' product on this

For long-term control of this problem, consider what I do:

Before the grasshopper season comes, I lay out anti-grasshopper biological
weapons called Nolo Bait. It is a natural pathogen which infects the insects
and they in turn infect others. They eventually ALL DIE!!
Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!.....They ALL DIE!!!

It is harmless to animals other than grasshoppers and crickets and it works!
