Here in the Pacific Northwest I've had grandifloras do this often if they
were grown indoors. Oddly enough, those plant grown outdoors seldom seem to
do this. I'm guessing they need the cooler temperatures to avoid early
dormancy.

Also, I've found this is not a good specimen to grow indoors at at all. They
often die if deprived of dormancy. They are very cold resistant outside.
