Subject: New Aquarium Odor

Hi Matt,
What you smell is the odor of the silicon sealer curing. Its acetic acid
(same acid as in vinegar). It should be harmless in that concentration. You
can speed the curing up a little bit by sitting the tank in the sun, or
filling it with water. The smell should vanish in a few days.
