Subject: A Brief Note on Mary Treat

At the following link you will find a very interesting little biography on
Mary Treat, the American woman who corresponded with Charles Darwin
regarding CPs. The bio does have a gross inacuracy saying that, "The
bladderwort today is better known as the "Venus Fly Trap," ", but it's a
nice little peak at an early naturalist.

I am in the process of reading Darwin's, "Insectivorous Plants", and he does
mention Mary Treat rather frequently and with surprising respect given that
she was a woman with no formal scientific education.
