Subject: Sarracenia--to cut or not to cut?

Hi everyone--

Now that it's fall and my Sarracenia and Darlingtonia have many dead and
dying leaves, I was wondering if I should cut them off--even if parts of
the leaves are still green. Is this a necessary step when keeping these
plants in cultivation? Last year I didn't, but noticed an increase in
Thrips and other pests this year. Please advise. Thanks.
