Hi Dave,

Just wanted to say that I really enjoyed your recent post to
the listserv about D.intermedia and D.capillaris. I'm also
always trying to infer why one species grows in one habitat
and not in another, and what keeps different species in
separate habitats. It often takes a lot of detective work,
very careful observations over a period of time to
understand this kind of ecological pattern. It's very rare
to see this on the listserv, so I really enjoyed it.
Congrats on the great obersvations and for sharing this
        useful info with all!

Best Wishes,

Fernando Rivadavia Sao Paulo, Brazil
