Subject: Re: Nepenthes ampullaria upper pitchers

Hi all

One of my Nepenthes ampullaria has produced upper pitchers and I was
wondering
if there is any new info' on the production of these. As they have only
appeared on one lead on one out of three plants which are all
experiencing the same conditions, it would not appear to me to be a
stress related occurrence, which I have read may be responsible for
there appearance.

Plus, Charles Clarkes excellent book, IMHO, states upper pitchers are
'lacking
wings', but these have wings! Could any of you Nepenthes experts give me
some more info' on this please.

Best wishes,

Steve.
