Subject: CP bookseller / Introduction

Hi, CP'ers!

I've been around quite some time but never introduced myself as I
wanted to have my site and (sideline) business up and running before
posting unfinished stuff. Took longer than expected...

I'm a computer scientist in a German university hospital (the city
of Kiel might mean something to the yachtsmen among you). I got into
the CP hobby some 2 years ago and it was like a flash since then --
I spent numerous hours online and I began to buy any CP book I could
get hold of.

This slowly but surely took me away from the carnivorous plants --
towards the books! Although my fishtank (with _Drosera_, _Dionaea_,
_Cephalotus_ and _Heliamphora_) needs very little time I found that
plants need space. Well, books need space, too, but they can be put
to shelves while fishtanks need tables or expensive stacks, they
need power (light) or windowsills. I decided that one tank and many
pots with hardy species on my windowsills is enough practice and I
can concentrate on the theory -- I became a booklover :-) Besides CP
books and papers I also collect reference works of illustrated botany
books, titles on Tepuis and related topics.

After some time this fascination turned into a sideline business and
I became a registered bookseller. I now offer some 30 CP titles
(increasing number) of in-print and out-of-print titles for sale. I
ship internationally and also always buy or swap worldwide. I run a
website for my current catalog and CP literature related info and I
offer free booksearches (not limited to CP books).

An enhanced version of the "complete CP booklist" started by Ivo
Koudela can also be found on my site. This will be updated soon to
reflect latest changes and will be turned into a searchable database
eventually.

Now that I finally finished most of the intended translation stuff
(now almost everything is English and German) I invite everybody to
visit my pages. If you have comments, questions, look for books or
have some to sell or swap -- drop me a note.
