Subject: straw for cp's might not be a good idea

I have been hearing about straw to control algae. I'm not so sure this is
a good idea because, straw is what you use to start a culture of assorted
microrganisms, such as paramecium, and ameobas. some of these would be
helpful to bladderworts, genlisea, and aldrovanda ( mmmmm.... FOOD!) but
you never know what you will get, you might end up with root rotting
organisms, or generally stinky (very stinky) soil and stinky water
saucers.

      something to think about,
