Tom,

Got a laugh over your posting. You psycho-torturer of Nepenthes. I knew it
was you! You subliminally fessed up at Sundew Bob's BBQ last year. And Cliff
was there.

I find your water tray method an interesting variation, because at my place
it would be the kiss of death. I find my growing techniques moving more
towards letting Neps dry out a little more, and pot in a well drained mix
that allows water to rapidly move through the pot. A complete drenching.
Followed by a gradual drying ( not really dry, but moist) The exception to
the rule in N. mirabilis echinostoma-- I grow it sitting in a saucer of
water. It's the only way I can keep this species alive!
