Your soil is on the acidit type of PH. For flowers this is good. for
greener leaves 1 tablespoon of baking, 1 tablespoon of dishwashing soap,
and 2 tablespoons of cooking oil. Sundews turn red at first with this
treatment but if they don't get enough bugs they give up the ghost. To
counter to much baking soda one treatment of liquid orchid fertilizer
water. Utric don't survive at all with either treatments, but nepenthes,
trumpet and picture do nice with the basic treated soil. Purpurea turn
green with the basics. Does anyone have a recipe for red purp's? It is
given Sun light helps; to much orcid fert. turns them orange. Maybe a
nutrament?
