Remember that Darlingtonia bog with the fundraising efforts? The goal has
not yet been reached.
California Native Plant Society has to raise $36,000 for this site.
Through private donations and a large grant from The Nature Conservancy,
they have raised all but $9000. Tax time has just gone by for people in
the US---if you were jealously eyeing tax deductable donations, consider a
donation to this purchase. It is deductable.
Interested parties should call the Redbud chapter president of the
California Native Plant Society, Carolyn Chainey-Davis, at 530-273-1581.
They have approximately one month before selling the property to new
interests.
