While I certainly can't claim long term success with this species, I have
been growing it for the past year with moderate success. Nothing fancy as
far as growing methods, I'm afraid. 50/50 peat sand in a 4 inch pot with a
dome over the tray. They are under a shop light - one cool white and one
gro-lux. (or whatever terms you prefer) They HATE heat and went dormant
over the summer, (I wish I had a cellar - my house isn't air conditioned)
but they are growing quite nicely now. They are just kept moist, not
sitting in water. I may try the tray watering system if I separate the pot.
I may also get the courage to try a few leaf cuttings soon, but I would hate
to kill such cute plants. I am sure I could grow them better if I had more
plants to experiment with - hopefully they will flower in the spring.

Hey Dave - any of the ones I gave to you survive? How were you growing them?

Take care & keep on growing,

Thomas K. Hayes
