I checked all over last summer for a CP nursery in the North County San
Diego Area (encinitas, Carlsbad, Cardiff, Solona Beach) - all I found was
a few plants here and there - seasonal purchases. The only other place
to find CP year round is out at the Wild Animal Park, about 30 minutes
east of the beach. They have mainly VFTs, Droseras, a few Pings and if
you're lucky a generic flavor of Nepenthes. If you're interested in
orchids, then North County is the place to be as the place is full of
greeenhouses. Good luck. Incidentally, this is a great time of year at
the beach and the best beaches are found here. With the El Nino
conditions the water is warm and great for snorkling.
