Sorry, but I have no idea how to join the JCPS, although I am living here in Japan at the moment and have even participated in 2 of their meetings. I would recommend you get in touch with Isao Takai, who is on the listserv and is secretary/treasurer of the JCPS (I believe). His address was just given yesterday on this listserv as:
