That's an interesting comment. I think the tendency for most growers has been
to repot and divide the big Sarrs. every year or so with the result that the
rhizomes are never really full size. It seems to me that in some ways the
resulting plants are really juveniles. S. lueco, S. flava, S. purp. and S.
minor in the wild all have very large rhizomes in terms of length, diameter,
and number of growth points.
