Hi Chris,

These are very good, but only about three years ago they cost
about $10.00. Now, they are going for about $20.00. And more are being
sold than just a couple of years ago, so it seems like GE is ripping
us off... Anyway, they do work very good as they put out more light
than the same sized standards (now old).

I've seen them in cool-white, glo-grow (for plants) and a black
lite-shtick. They *do not* last three to five year if you use
them for plants, and the plant lights cost more... For the
number of plants I grow, these lights don't make good sense and
I use four foot shop-lights instead, mixing the bulbs between
cool-white (about a $) and plant bulbs (about $3.50). Do not
buy those Vita-lights, they cost between $25.00 and 40.00 for
one tube!!!
