With Drosera, and Pinguicula certainly - I culture mine on either
       1/5 strength MS or 2/3 strength Knudson's 'C', both with 20 g/L
sucrose and MS vitamins, and they root well for the most part.
Tuberous spp. can be a bit slow to root, but a pinch of rooting
powder in the medium does the trick (there's a nice scientific
       approach :)
Dionaea will work in plain MS, but is faster and roots better with
the media supplements described on Rick Walker's TC slideshow.
If you get leafy growth and no roots IV, try reculturing with
       1/5 (or 1/4) strength MS with 1mg/L kinetin and only 5-10 g/L
sucrose (certainly works for Cephalotus anyway.) But you should
find it roots well enough without this if you use Casein, 2iP, etc.
as described in the TC slideshow.
Don't do this until you have a nice little plantlet though as the
leafy growth can go a bit stringy with the high cytokinin level.
If you haven't got kinetin I'd expect BAP or similar to do the trick.

         Hope this helps,

                       Peter
