Alastair et al,

Thanks for your comments on myrmecophilous orchids. I do not think that this
is the case with the genus I mentioned in my post. I am familiar with
several genera of ant-symbiotic orchids. None of them are carnivorous.

The plant I referred to was supposed to be "carnivorous" that is, it was
somehow capable of digesting animal matter (as opposed to benefitting
indirectly by making use of nutrients from animal wastes.
