<< Hi,

Im another new cp grower, i've got one drosera capensis and one sarracenia
rubra. Right now they're in my west facing window in my living room...not
dormant. I understand they need to go through dormancy in the winter to
live indefinitely. My question is do they need much light when they're
dormant? I think my entryway by the front door would be good since its not
heated, but doesnt get much light. So should I move my plants there or try
 to find other arrangements?>>
I'd think that for S. rubra, low temp is more important than high light (all
of my Sarracenia seem to do well in the garage (40-50 deg F, low light) for
the winter. My D. capensis continues to grow, albeit slowly during the
winter, so I give it a rest in a lighted aquarium (less light than normal,
but still some, and slightly higher temps).
Hope this helps,
